While the inauguration was mostly focused on Donald Trump becoming the 45th president of the United States the Internet has taken note of Melania Trump.

It is unquestionable that the current First Lady of the United States cut an elegant figure alongside her husband. However, several instances have been highlighted during which Mrs. Trump looks anything by jovial.

Several specific images have been making the rounds on Twitter which highlights what some are reading as a ‘difficult’ relationship between the Trumps. One image depicts the Trump’s arrival at the White House. However, Mr. Trump proceeds up the stairs by himself while Melania Trump trails behind. This is in contrast to Barack and Michelle Obama’s arrival at the White House in early 2009 during which they ascended the stairs arm-in-arm.

Similarly, once greeted by the Obama’s Trump heads into the White House leaving his wife behind. Conscientiously, the Obama’s respond and escort Mrs. Trump inside.

Nevertheless, despite these images making the rounds on social media it is a video clip of a few seconds, which has caused many online users to respond with concern for Mrs. Trump. The clip in questions shows Melania Trump smiling as she stands behind her husband on the Inauguration dais. A few seconds later Mr. Trump turns around and appears to say something to his wife, which causes a stunning reaction. The smile that had been in place moments ago disappears from her face to be replaced by a near despondent look.

It clear that it is unlikely that the public will ever know what Mr. Trump said to his wife to cause such a viscerally despondent expression.
