“What’s the thing that scares you the most?”
The first full-length trailer for American Horror Story: Cult has arrived, and it’s confirmed what’s long been speculated – that this new, seventh season will indeed be based around last years US presidential election.
Set in Michigan in November 2016, the trailer opens as a same-sex couple played by Sarah Paulson and Alison Pill discover that Trump has won the election, much to their dismay. We had a very similar reaction ourselves…
Meanwhile, a creepy blue-haired guy played by AHS fan favourite Evan Peters is absolutely thrilled that the Republican reality star has won his bid for presidency – so much so that he begins to dry hump his TV.
And if you were hoping the clowns in all those terrifying teasers were metaphorical, you’re gonna be disappointed, as this season looks like it’s filled with them – including some major throwbacks to Freak Show’s Twisty.
There’s no appearances from some of the confirmed cast including Colton Haynes and Emma Roberts, but we do get to see Billie Lourd as Paulson’s menacing babysitter, and Cheyenne Jackson as her therapist.
