The 17th of May is recognized as the International day against Homophobia, transphobia, and biphobia.

The day aims to raise awareness of violation of LGBT rights and to stimulate LGBT discussions throughout the world. This year, in 2016, the twelfth edition is being commemorated in nearly all of the one hundred and twenty countries throughout the world.

As we continue the journey towards a kinder and more accepting society we leave with these words:

“Only the human mind invents categories and tries to force facts into separated pigeon-holes. The living world is a continuum in each and every one of its aspects. The sooner we learn this concerning sexual behavior the sooner we shall reach a sound understanding of the realities of sex.” – Alfred Kinsey
